| Joe is a creative interdisciplinary scientist with over 20 years of research, technology transfer and product development experience. He received a PhD in Biochemistry and Biophysics from Washington State University as an NIH Biotechnology Fellow. He spent several years in Silicon Valley's biotechnology industry gaining valuable experience in process engineering and manufacturing. Joe is an experienced entrepreneur, a co-inventor of New Sky's carbon negative technology, and plays a key role in the company's IP portfolio development. Joe leads New Sky's research, engineering and design work in the laboratory in close coordination with CEO/CSO Deane Little. Joe has designed, built and operated several lab-scale reactors and is now operating a commercial bench scale reactor. |

| Joe has spent over 15 years in financial and operational management roles in technology startups and Fortune 500 companies, including COO/CFO of Com Unity Central, VP-Strategy & Development of Enthusian, and Senior Manager of Finance at Ryder System. Joe also was a Principal with A.T.Kearney and a Principal Consultant with Price Waterhouse. Joe received an MBA from the University of Miami and a BS in Finance at Florida State University. Joe is responsible for all financial functions, and plays a key role in setting business strategy and company & business development efforts. |
